How much does delivery cost and how long does it take?
Rates depend on destination and service level. See our delivery page for UK, EU, and international options. Orders are hand-packed in Battersea, London, in plastic-free packaging.
When will Batch 001 ship?
Batch 001 is a pre-order release. Your checkout confirmation states the dispatch window for your order. If we cannot ship within that window, you are entitled to a full refund — see our pre-order terms.
How do I use and care for my rock salt block?
Carpathian Salt is for grating only — not for heating, chilling, or use as a cooking slab. Grate a little at a time at the table. Keep the block dry in its wooden box, away from humidity. Wipe the wood with a dry cloth if needed; do not soak the salt or the box.
How does Carpathian salt compare with Himalayan and sea salt?
Carpathian rock salt is from Salina Târgu Ocna, Romania, ~20 million years (Miocene). Himalayan salt is underground rock from the Himalayan region (Pakistan / Punjab Salt Range trade routes): an ancient underground evaporite, often described in trade literature as hundreds of millions of years old. Sea salt is evaporated from contemporary seawater or brine. The full table is on The Salt.
What is in the salt? Any allergens?
100% unprocessed Carpathian rock salt from Salina Târgu Ocna, Romania. No additives, anti-caking agents, or iodine. It is a single-ingredient mineral product.
Can I add engraving or send this as a gift?
Batch 001 pre-orders include free bespoke laser engraving when ordered before the official release. For corporate gifting or larger runs, use Customise My Carpathian or email us with your message and delivery details.

What is your returns policy?
